The Position:

Data is the lifeblood of our activity at OneRagtime; it’s the fuel that powers the innovative products we’re building, and the key to revolutionising venture capital. Therefore, we need it to be optimised and protected! As Data Engineer, you will be part of an international team in the very heart of Barcelona, one of Europe’s most thriving tech cities. You will work within the Operations team to deliver the very best tools to our team and community. Our data will be your baby – you’ll be responsible for its availability, quality, and robustness throughout the complete data lifecycle. Ready for an 80+ microservice data pipeline? To protect and care for complex data processes like a pro? This could be the role for you.

At OneRagtime, no two days are the same. The following tasks will be part of your new role:

  • Manage OneRagtime data pipelines and related activities while ensuring the evolution of architectures, developments and optimisation of our data services
  • Be responsible for the global efficiency of OneRagtime’s data quality, freshness and coherency
  • Follow the Data and Dev Agile methodologies integrating your work and expertise within the teams
  • Guarantee each project is consistent & optimised, be it the conception, coding, testing or documentation
  • Work closely with the design, development, data and business teams assuring all data- related features are delivered and maintained, all processes are respected and all projects delivered on time

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who shares the same values as our team:

  • A strong academic record
  • Almost/just graduated or 1/2 years’ experience
  • Speak at least 2 languages among French, Spanish and English
  • Passionate about data, coding, algorithms optimisation
  • Excellent understanding of data modelling, transfers, ETL and micro-services
  • Strong experience Python and large and complex data management
  • Good knowledge of REST APIs and backend, machine learning architectures and models
  • Basic understanding of infrastructure technologies such as Docker, UNIX servers, CDN,
    network and security
  • Be able to provide innovative, simple and optimal ideas and solutions
  • Loving the start-up and the tech industry worlds
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • Ability to take initiatives and be quickly autonomous
